Two shortcuts you already own: Win plus period for symbols, and Win plus V for your clipboard history
Windows 11 has been keeping a symbol drawer and a clipboard history behind two keys most people never press.
How-To Geek's Zachary Boddy makes the case for Win + . (period), the Emoji Picker shortcut, and points out that the panel holds far more than emoji and GIFs: currencies from around the world, mathematical symbols for formulas, exponents and fractions, unique letters and accents from several languages, plus ASCII emoticons and kaomoji, which is the end of searching the web for a character or memorizing an Alt code. The same panel carries Windows clipboard history, and Win + V opens straight to it, so recently copied text, links, and images are one keystroke away instead of a window switch away. It remembers the items you reach for most, lets you pin the ones you always need, and clears the whole history in a single click. Boddy notes that once you enable it in settings, that clipboard history can also sync across your Windows 11 devices, either automatically or manually if you would rather approve each one.
