Four standing orders for ChatGPT: a nightly news brief, a morning calendar read, a price watch, and a refocus nudge
The checking you do every day is the part a scheduled task can take off your hands.
MakeUseOf's Judy Sanhz expected ChatGPT's Scheduled Tasks to be glorified reminders and came away running four of them daily. One fires at 7:30 PM and returns the five biggest tech stories of the last 24 hours across Android, Windows 11 and Samsung Galaxy, with the prompt naming the topics, the lookback window, the number of results, and the exclusions (minor updates, repeated stories). A second fires at 8 AM, reads Google Calendar, and reports overlaps, back to back meetings, and the free blocks between them; a third watches an Amazon tripod and is told to stay quiet unless the price reaches $17 or less. Sanhz flags the setting that makes or breaks all of it, since a task will not reach you unless notifications are switched on in the Tasks section, and the plan caps the habit: three tasks on Free and Go, five on Plus, ten on Business and Edu, and fifteen on Pro and Enterprise.
