Point Excel at the folder your weekly files land in, and the master report rebuilds itself on open
The report you rebuild by hand every week is a four step setup away from rebuilding itself.
How-To Geek's Tony Phillips keeps each week's file in one folder, then points a master workbook at the folder itself through Data, Get Data, From File, From Folder, and clicks Transform Data to open Power Query. A Text Filters rule set to Does Not Begin With keeps the master workbook out of its own query, and the Combine Files button in the Content column header stacks every weekly sheet into one table. After that, adding next week means dropping the file in the folder and clicking Refresh All on the Data tab, and ticking Refresh data when opening the file, under Queries and Connections, Properties, Usage, removes even that step. The method leans on Power Query and on discipline, because every file has to keep the same worksheet name, the same column headings and the same layout for the stack to hold.
