Vert converts more than 250 file formats in your own browser, free and with no file size limit
Most free online converters cap your file size, stamp the output, or want an email address first.
Vert is an open-source converter covering more than 250 formats across images, audio, documents and video, and its own site states that all file processing is done on your device, with no file size limit, no ads and no paid tier. XDA's Parth Shah ran WebP into PNG, FLAC into MP3 and documents into Markdown through it, and reports the work happening locally rather than in a queue on someone else's machine. Video is the one exception: large files need real computing power, so they are handed to Vert's server and kept there for an hour, unless you run the self-hostable vertd daemon and keep that part at home too.
