SpaceX revenue nearly doubles to $7.8 billion in its first earnings report as a public company
The rocket and satellite company arrived on the earnings calendar growing fast and spending faster.
SpaceX reported second quarter revenue of $7.8 billion, up 92 percent from $4 billion a year earlier, in its first quarterly report since going public. Starlink revenue grew by $1.7 billion, and the company's AI division accounted for nearly $2 billion of the increase. The net loss narrowed to $541 million from $1 billion in the same quarter last year, while capital spending in the first half of 2026 topped $28 billion, up from $7 billion a year earlier. Chief financial officer Bret Johnsen said SpaceX has an additional $6.7 billion of cloud services revenue under contract over a six month period beginning in October.
Scripture for Reflection
“Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy.”
Large numbers can quietly reshape our hopes, so we can keep our confidence in God who provides rather than in wealth that stays uncertain.
