Nvidia enlists six investment firms to mobilize more than $500 billion for AI compute
The chipmaker wants AI computing treated as an asset class that institutional money can finance.
Nvidia said Monday it is partnering with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to establish independent compute financing platforms intended to mobilize more than $500 billion of third-party capital over time. The platforms are designed to create dedicated pools of capital at scale for Nvidia customers building AI infrastructure, including frontier AI labs, enterprises and AI cloud providers. Chief executive Jensen Huang said in the announcement that "in AI, compute is revenue," arguing that Nvidia systems are broadly adopted, transferable across customers and operators, and continuously improved through CUDA software.
Scripture for Reflection
“Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy.”
Numbers this large can unsettle us, so we can steady our hope in God rather than in any market's certainty.
