Nvidia posts a $96.2 billion quarter, up 106 percent, and guides to $108 billion

The data center business alone brought in $89 billion, and the company told investors the current quarter should be larger still.

Nvidia reported revenue of $96.2 billion for the quarter ended July 26, up 18 percent from the prior quarter and 106 percent from a year earlier. Data Center revenue reached $89.0 billion, a 117 percent year-over-year increase, and GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins both landed at 75.0 percent. GAAP earnings were $2.46 per diluted share and non-GAAP earnings were $2.22. For the current quarter the company guided to revenue of $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2 percent, with gross margins of 74.0 percent.

NASA's Roman Space Telescope is sealed in its rocket fairing before an August 30 launch

Sealed for flight Crews encapsulated the observatory on August 21 inside the 43-foot Falcon Heavy fairing for a trip to Sun-Earth Lagrange point 2, with liftoff set no earlier than 7:26 a.m. EDT.

Ah, I know that song. I heard it while the dust of the valley was still on my sandals, and I will tell you plainly: it is sweeter than honey and heavier than armor. Praise is a fine gift and a poor throne. Receive it the way you receive rain, with an open hand, and let it run off you toward the One who made the stone fly true. Give the credit outward and upward. Thank the ones who carried your gear while the crowd was busy learning your name. Keep near you a friend who will tell you the truth when your head begins to swell, for a mirror flatters and a friend does not. And remember that the singing stops, as singing does. When it does, you will be the same soul before God that you were before the first note. That is the only measure worth keeping. Sing back, and the song will not swallow you.
